Transitional Reinsurance Program (TRP) Fee

CMS has announced a filing extension for the annual enrollment and submission contribution forms required to pay the Transitional Reinsurance Program (TRP) fee. Originally due November 15, 2014, contributing entities now have until 11:59 PM on December 5, 2014 to complete the required forms.

While additional time has been granted for the completion of the forms, the TRP contribution due dates remain unchanged. Contributing entities must still make contribution payments by January 15, 2015 (for first payment of $52.50 or full payment of $63.00 per covered life) and by November 15, 2015 (for the second payment of $10.50 assuming $52.50 was paid by January 15, 2015). The CMS website has been updated with this revised chart noting important deadlines related to the TRP fee.
